Dante, in his well-known “Inferno,” described the 9 circles of the netherworld in fantastic detail. But there have been no résumés in Dante’s time. Had there been, he unquestionably would have reserved a particular edition of Hades, as follows:
Like Dante’s Inferno, Résumé Purgatory is a funnel-formed structure that extends down, down, down to the very middle of the earth. The funnel is like a winding staircase of circles, every getting more compact and smaller until we attain the really bottom, where we locate Résumé Devil (who has truly been guiding us all the way down).
